Who’s Eligible for the METI Japan Internship 2025?
- Applicants must support the program’s goals of international collaboration and Japanese business expansion.
- Applicants must be citizens of an OECD/DAC country (excluding China) and not currently residing in Japan.
- Applicants must be proficient in English or Japanese (JLPT N3 level or higher).

Internship Placement Structure: One Intern per Company
In the METI Japan Internship Program, each participating company will host only one intern, ensuring a focused and personalized training experience. With a maximum of 100 companies involved, the program will select up to 100 interns in total. This one-to-one placement system allows interns to work closely with their host company, receive tailored mentorship, and make a real impact during their 6-week stay in Japan.
