Eligibility Criteria for Cardiff Metropolitan University Scholarship

• Must be studying, or about to commence studying, at Cardiff Metropolitan University 
• Compete in a recognized British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) sport and contribute to BUCS objectives 
• Compete at international level or perform at the highest level in your sport (national/international/professional) 
• Recommended by NGB coach and/or university coach 
• Compete for Cardiff Met in BUCS competitions 
• Participate in university promotion, marketing, and open events 
• Enrolled as a full-time student with a valid Student ID Card 
• Award payment in years 2 and 3 is subject to academic progression and sporting performance 
• Must reapply annually for continued support 
• Not available for franchise college students or concurrent Postgraduate Scholarship recipients 

How to Apply for Cardiff Met Elite Sport Scholar Award 

1. Complete the Elite Sport Scholar Award application form here. 
2. Submit the form to the Head of Performance Sport with supporting evidence and coach details. 
3. You will receive an automatic email notification confirming receipt. Contact scholarship@cardiffmet.ac.uk if you do not receive it. 
4. Final confirmation of the award will be made after assessment and prior to the start of the course.
