Eligibility Criteria
Applicant must hold one of the following degrees by July 31st, 2025:
- An Italian Second Cycle Master’s Degree
- An Italian Laurea Specialistica
- An Italian Degree obtained prior to D.M. 509/99
- A second-level academic qualification awarded by AFAM institutions (Alta Formazione Artistica e Musicale)
A Second Cycle Master’s Degree obtained abroad that is:
- Equivalent to the Italian degrees mentioned above
- Recognized as suitable for PhD admission in Italy
- No IELTS required.
Required documents
- A valid copy of a personal ID or passport.
- The Curriculum Vitae (CV) describing education, research experience, publications, and relevant skills.
- A research proposal or project description related to choosen Phd program.
- An official transcript of academic records.
- A certified copy of the Master’s degree certificate.
- For degrees obtained abroad, a Declaration of Value (DoV), CIMEA certification is required.
- Reference letters or recommendation letters ( may be asked during any program).
- A copy of any language proficiency certificate (if required).
- For non-EU candidates, a residence permit or visa copy.

- Students have to submit application via www.esse3.unimore.it before May 9th, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. (CET).
- To get user ID and Password, register on Esse3, use SPID credentialsif you have an Italian ID.
- In case of non – Italian, go for the standard “Registration” option.
- After successful registration, log in and go to: Admission→ Admission Exams → Ph.D.
- Make sure to submit your all documents including high school qualification.

- Applicants only choose one selection in one application, for multiple options, go for separate application.
