Eligibility Requirements for McCall MacBain Scholarship
To qualify for the McCall MacBain Scholarship, applicants must meet one of the following conditions:
- Be currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program and expected to graduate by August 2027.
- Have completed their first bachelor’s degree within the last five years.
- Have earned their first bachelor’s degree more than five years ago and be 30 years old or younger in 2026.
Applicants must also satisfy the admission requirements of their chosen McGill University program, including language proficiency requirements where applicable.

English Language Requirements
Accepted English proficiency tests include:
- TOEFL iBT: Minimum overall score of 86, with at least 20 in each section
- IELTS: Minimum overall band score of 6.5
English Test Exemption
Applicants may be exempt from providing proof of English proficiency if they:
- Have English as their first language and use it regularly.
- Have completed or are completing a degree in Canada or the United States.
- Have lived, worked, or studied for at least four consecutive years in a country where English is the primary language.
- Have completed or are completing a degree at an institution where English is the official language of instruction.
