PhD Position in Germany at University of Hohenheim 2024 is open now. We’re looking for a doctoral candidate to join our team focused on sustainable technologies in agriculture. We work with leftover biomass from peatland grasslands to create useful materials. Our research involves analyzing biomass from five peatland sites in Germany. We’re testing this biomass in two ways: first, by converting it in biorefineries to make valuable chemicals like HMF and furfural, and second, by producing fibers and papers from it.
We aim to develop new ways to use wet grasslands that benefit both production and environmental goals. This position offers a salary according to TV-L 13 and requires 26.7 hours of work per week (65%). The position is available immediately and runs until June 31, 2026.
