Sciences Po structures the Emile Boutmy award to reflect the diverse financial needs of its international student community. The exact amount is determined by the admissions jury during the selection process.
At the Undergraduate Level:
- A combined package of up to €7,300 annually in tuition support alongside a €5,000 yearly cost-of-living allowance
- Standalone tuition grants of €7,300, €5,000, or €3,000 per year, sustained across all three years of the program
- In exceptional cases, a lump-sum award of €19,000 designed to cover the entirety of the undergraduate journey
- All tuition and living allowances remain intact throughout the mandatory third-year international exchange
At the Master’s Level:

Are You Eligible for Emile Boutmy Scholarship?
This scholarship welcomes applicants from every corner of the world, with selections guided by academic merit, candidate profile, and social background. That said, certain categories of applicants fall outside the scope of eligibility:
- Swiss and Norwegian nationals, as they may already qualify for CROUS grants
- Applicants holding any form of dual citizenship that includes an EU member state
- Quebec applicants seeking a Master’s degree, as they benefit from reduced European-equivalent tuition rates
- Most dual-degree Master’s candidates, with limited exceptions for the Sciences Po/Columbia journalism program, Sciences Po/Fudan, and Sciences Po/Peking University partnerships under defined nationality conditions
- Students enrolled in PhD (thesis) programs
- Applicants to one-year Master’s programs
- Bachelor’s dual-degree candidates outside specific institutional agreements
- Exchange students and those applying through the French graduate admissions route
- Applicants who have simultaneously applied for the joint Sciences Po and CSC scholarship
