Undergraduate Scholarship in South Korea 2025 is open now. The 2025 Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) for Undergraduate programs is now open for applications. This fully funded scholarship is provided by the South Korean government and does not require an IELTS score. For 2025, the total number of available scholarships has increased to 367. Applicants can apply through two tracks: the Embassy Track, which offers 87 scholarships, and the University Track, which provides 280 scholarships. In the Embassy Track, students apply through the Korean Embassy in their home country, while in the University Track, they apply directly to one of the designated universities in South Korea.
The GKS is the largest scholarship program offered by the South Korean government, supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Additionally, the application process for the GKS Graduate Scholarship for Master’s and PhD programs will open in February 2025.

Eligibility Criteria for Undergraduate Scholarship in South Korea 2025
- The score percentile must be 80% or higher.
- Applicants should be under 25 years of age.
- Must be in good health.
- No criminal record.
- Open to citizens of all countries, except Korean citizens.
- Applicants with a bachelor’s degree are not eligible to apply.
- Those with an associate degree may apply, but only for a bachelor’s program.
- CGPA requirements: above 2.64/4.0, 2.80/4.3, 2.91/4.5, or 3.23/5.0.
